Sponsorship Opportunities with the SPA
There are a number of sponsorship opportunities available to companies wishing to work with the SPA. We understand some companies prefer to contribute through ‘in-kind’ sponsorship and some are prepared to offer cash sponsorship. Here are a few examples:
Cash Sponsorship
- Become a main or second tier sponsor at one of our international competitions
- Sponsor a national title or series of titles
- Sponsor our international squads who, without sponsorship, have to fund participation in high profile international tournaments themselves
- Sponsor a project, such as a series of taster sessions or coaching sessions
In-kind Sponsorship
- Supply prizes for our competitions
- Supply catering or refreshments for our larger competitions
- Supply equipment or Scotland Squad kit
We recognise that pétanque is a minority sport in Scotland, however we believe the opportunities for publicising your company are good and here are a few examples of the benefits of sponsorship with the SPA:
- Major sponsors name features in the title of the event – for example ‘The XYZ Scottish Masters’.
- Banner displays, play area surround advertising boards, branded gazebos etc at our events. The entire play area surround can be customised to fit your branding if required. Major sponsors will receive greater prominence than second tier or in-kind sponsors.
- Your logo on Scotland Squad kit. Major sponsors will receive greater prominence.
- Pre-event publicity in local and national press releases and the possibility of media coverage during the event.
- Your logo displayed on this website with an endorsement from the SPA and a link to your own website.
- Your own corporate competition, hosted and organised by the SPA, with all equipment and insurance provided. All you need to do is bring your colleagues! We find our corporate events are very well received and offer something different for corporate team building.
Importantly, by sponsoring the SPA, you will be helping us to finance our events and enable us to focus our own fundraising activities on grass roots development. Your contribution, however small, will help to ensure the long term growth of pétanque in Scotland.
