Despite a dull morning in Perth an impressive 16 pairs, from a number of clubs across Scotland, arrived to take part in this event and made up a good mix of ‘the regulars’, ‘rare visitors’ and new faces to the Scottish club competition scene.  A random draw allocated a number for each team which then determined who they would play in each of the 5 rounds.   At the end of a sunnier afternoon two teams   were on 5 wins, but it was Shirley Legge & Lynn Jenkins (Fochabers) who claimed victory, based on points difference, over fellow club members John Wilson & Robbie Stronach.  3^rd place was shared between Jean & Henry Hutcheson and Margaret Mauchline & Mabel Danraj (all Perth petanque) who tied for best points difference out of the teams on 4 wins.  Mabel sends her thanks to all who supported the event and those who helped out and we hope to see another excellent mix of players at the next Perth Petanque open pairs on 20^th July.
