It is with great sadness that we pay tribute to Charlie Coward who died suddenly in November. Charlie was a member of MelroseGala Petanque Club and Walkerburn Bowling & Petanque Club. He played regularly as part of the MelroseGala team in the South of Scotland Petanque League and represented Scotland at the 2018 Home Nations in Jersey.

A quiet man but with a keen sense of humour, Charlie loved petanque and did so much to establish the club at MelroseGala with his friend Peter Harrington.
