The Scottish Petanque Association held its AGM on Sunday 28 October at Perth Petanque Club.  At the AGM, the members voted to adopt a new constitution and you can view it here.

Among other things, the constitution creates 2 SPA membership categories which come into effect on 1 April 2019:

Affiliate Member. Every member of every affiliated club will become an Affiliate Member.

Full Member. This is subject to an additional membership fee and allows the member to hold an SPA licence and  serve on the NEC.

Current membership rights of members are maintained until the new membership structure comes into force.

The membership also voted in favour of adopting the following fee structure for 2019:

Club Affiliation Fees

• For clubs affiliating for the first and second years – £25 per club
• For clubs affiliating for third year onward – £6 per member

Full Membership Fees

• £14 for Full Club Members – this applies to members of an affiliated club who want to upgrade to Full Member.
• £25 for Full Individual Members – this applies to members who are not also a member of an affiliated club.
